Abstract

Stunting (dwarf) is a condition where a toddler has less length or height compared to age. WHO (World Health Organization) standards regarding the prevalence of stunting must be less than 20 percent. Stunting cases in Bontang City will increase in 2022 to 21 percent. In fact, in 2021, stunting cases were only 19 percent. President Joko Widodo emphasized that the target of reducing the rate of failure to thrive or stunting by 14 percent must be achieved by 2024. To support reducing the percentage of stunting in Bontang City, a system was designed and built that applies the TOPSIS (Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method in determining priority areas for handling stunting in toddlers. The research method used is action research. In finding priority areas, the steps are determining characteristics and criteria, determining alternative points and matrix values, creating a normalized decision matrix, creating a weighted normalized matrix, determining positive and negative ideal solutions, determining positive and negative ideal distances and finally determining preferences. . The results of application system design research using data from 2021 produced a decision support system with the highest order of preference values, namely North Bontang I with a value of V = 1 which must be prioritized in handling stunting in toddlers.
