SISTEM INFORMASI PERPUSTAKAAN BERBASIS WEBSITE (Studi kasus : Perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Negeri 002 Bontang Selatan)

Abstract

The library is a part that supports the development of knowledge of the community in educational institutions. SouthBontang 002 Elementary School is one of the schools that currently has a library that still uses paper archives as adata storage medium which is used for searching, borrowing, returning, counting the number of books, types of booksand making fines if the book has been returned late and there is no equipment. software specifically used to managelibrary data. Therefore, there must be a computerized system to minimize existing problems and make all work moreeffective and efficient. So the researcher formulated the problem, namely how to design a website-based libraryinformation system. This researcher used qualitative methods for data collection and waterfall in developing the system.Based on black box testing, it was concluded that the Website-Based Library Information System at the 002 SouthBontang State Elementary School was running as expected. The results of the trial using the Library InformationSystem at the South Bontang 002 State Elementary School showed that 89% of the system was built using the PIECESmethod as a system analysis method and the programming language used, namely PHP and MySQL database, wasmore effective and efficient than previous library management techniques
