APPLICATION OF THE ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS METHOD IN SELECTING VEGETABLE TYPES

Abstract

The development of information technology is currently very rapid with evidence of the development of information in the fields of education, economics, government, and agriculture. Proper use of information technology will produce fast, precise, and accurate information. One of the benefits of information technology is that it can help people solve existing problems, especially those related to information and communication. The benefits of informatics can also support humans in developing their creativity. The decision support system built in the Aku Sama Farmers Group to overcome the problems faced in the process of selecting good vegetables is still done manually and the results are not appropriate and it takes time to select vegetables. With this application, the Aku Sama Farmers Group can use this application to find out more quickly and accurately in the process of selecting good and appropriate vegetables to plant and sell later. This system was created by applying the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method which can make it easier to solve the problems faced easily and quickly. This method is often used and can solve multiobjective problems with multicriteria.
