SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS DALAM PENYUSUNAN PETA DESA

Abstract

Geographic Information System (GIS) provides structured information regarding data analysis in the form of statistics and in the form of mapping. In this study, the use of geographic information systems was carried out in the preparation of administrative boundary maps, river maps, road maps and elevation maps of areas in Penebel District. Based on the results of the mapping that has been done, information is obtained that Penebel District has potential sources of raw water, sources of irrigation water and sources of drinking water based on existing river data. Other potentials that can be analyzed are the superior potential of the agricultural sector and the potential for fruit and vegetable crops based on altitude data where the lowest elevation is at 107 masl and the highest elevation is at 2256 masl. The village administrative boundary map provides benefits in clarifying and emphasizing the territorial boundaries of each village in Penebel District along with the area of each village it owns. The preparation of a road map provides benefits as a reference for future road development.
